Description
In 1961 thanks to Guido Amoretti the Pietro Micca Civic Museum was opened.
Dedicated to the siege of Turin in 1706 and to the figure of Pietro MiccaHere it is possible to appreciate relics, photographs, films and models of the defense systems of the city, discovering the military events of the siege and historical events before and after the war of the Spanish succession.
The museum also allows you to visit some of the most significant features of the the Citadel's counter-mine tunnels, suitable for the defense of the city, where Pietro Micca lost his life after detonating a mine to ward off the intrusion of French soldiers.
Un piece of history to be rediscovered.
