Madame Palace

Description

In the center of Turin, in Piazza Castello, there is a building where it is possible to rediscover two thousand years of history of the city: from a Roman colony to a defensive fort-house to become a castle.

UNESCO World Heritage Site, the palace owes its name to royal madams who inhabited its rooms before Cristina of France and subsequently Maria Giovanna Battista of Savoy-Nemours to whom we owe the remaking of part of the project that involved the construction by Filippo Juvarra of the imposing staircase and the elegant facade.

Over the years, the Palace has also hosted the establishment of the first Royal Senate and it is precisely in its rooms that the birth of the Kingdom of Italy.

Palazzo Madama offers its visitors the opportunity to discover the secular and glorious history of the city.
